Treeless Saddles
Black Forest Treeless Saddles: the Answer to your Saddle Fitting needs
Black Forest saddles are intended to comfortably fit even the most hard-to-fit horses. Whether your horse has standard conformation, low withers, high withers, short back, long back, broad shoulders…the Black Forest treeless saddles conform to practically all of them!
Flexible in all directions
-
Black Forest saddles are made of soft brushed leather, which is porous and readily fits itself properly into the shape of your horse's back. The soft leather conforms around your horse's shoulders, allowing freedom and expansion of movement. The pommel of the Black Forest saddles is filled and stabilized with a fiberglass form, and the cantle is a dense foam, but there is no hard tree between your seat and your horse's back.
-
The feel of your horse's every movement
The saddles allow an ultra-close contact so that you and your horse can move freely and naturally together. You feel your horse's muscles, and can anticipate their movements. Your horse will feel you as well, and can more quickly understand what you are asking. The first time you feel your horse's heartbeat underneath you at the end of a gallop, is absolute bliss.
-
The spine stays protected
All Black Forest saddles are constructed with the S3 technology: a 3-dimensional impact recovery system designed to enhance spinal clearance and shock absorption. Together with a quality therapeutic saddle pad, the spinal area stays protected."
-
No break-in time for the rider
The soft brushed leather conforms to your body as well as your horse's, and the fenders flex with your legs. No more stirrup stretching or new saddle squeak.
-
Interchangeable saddle fittings
Each Black Forest saddle can be mounted with either English leathers, or western/endurance fenders, so you can easily change your riding discipline!
-
A movement towards a more natural way with horses
Treeless riding is gaining popularity throughout the entire equine world, as more and more riders are focusing on the comfort of their horses. The movement is going treeless and barefoot, resulting in the most natural relationship and experience. We ride all of our horses in our Black Forest treeless saddles, and are also strong advocates of the barefoot trimming methods.
